- Where are you from?
Born and raised in the SF Bay Area. I am a California girl through and through. I loved growing up in Northern California and love visiting my parents there! - Where do you live now?
Sunny San Diego babay! I moved to SD for college (go Aztecs!) and stayed ever since- minus the 11 months I lived in NYC, but we don’t talk about that. - How did you meet your hubby (Brandon)?
I met Brandon at SDSU. He was a masters student and I was in undergrad. We became best friends when he directed me in my first main stage production in the theatre department (theatre and dance double major!). We were best friends for 2 years and things evolved from there!
- Do you have a job other than blogging?
You bet! I am a recruiter in the heat treatment industry. Never heard of it? It’s ok, I hadn’t either! Give it a google. It’s a super cool and innovative industry that touches SO MUCH of our lives. I am so lucky to work 3 days a week and hang out with my son the other 2. #blessed - Do you have pets?
We’ve got a whole zoo over here! Brandon and I rescued our 2 cats in 2013. Violet is the fattest (we’ve done everything, she’s just a big girl) and loudest cat you’ll ever meet, and Butler is a cuddle bug when he’s not chewing on plastic and knocking things off counters. In 2019, we rescued our pup, Riggins (yes, as in Tim Riggins). He is the sweetest, cutest, goodest boy and we love him to pieces. I think we’re done for now but there might be more furry friends in the future.
- What’s the story behind becoming a blogger?
I always say this blog was born from covid quarantine, maternity leave, and first time mom blur. I am someone who has a lot of idea going around in my head and after writing blog posts sporadically privately (I guess you could call that a journal) I decided to go public and share my thoughts with my little corner of the internet. - Why don’t we see more pictures of your son (Lincoln)?
It’s not like I don’t have the content. My guy is the cutest little boy you’ve ever seen and I have the pics to prove it. However, I’m still not sure how much of his life I want to share on the internet without him being able to consent. I am going to try to maintain his privacy and keep him to a limit on here. That may change but that’s where my mind is right now.
- Are you going to have more kids?
I would definitely like to if I am able. We’re still getting over the first stages of parenthood (I mean it’s only been 6 months!) so not sure on timing. We’ll just have to see what the future holds. - Favorite place you’ve traveled?
Italy. Hands down. No question. I have been to Italy (Sorrento, Naples, Venice, Florence and Rome) twice once in college on Semester at Sea and once with my sister. I realllllllly want to take my hubs and babe and show them everything I love. To me there is just the perfect blend of personality, culture, history, relaxation and beauty. Plus, pizza. - What’s your favorite pizza topping?
Pepperoni or plain ol’ cheese. You cannot go wrong.
