I feel like a brand new woman. We are post 2020 lockdowns, post 2021 birth…We are vaxed, waxed and ready to relax (and party, and adventure, and, and, and!)!
Here are the trips we have planned for this year… maybe there will be more? We’ll just see…
We’re headed to Santa Barbara for 4 days in March (sans kiddo!) for a wedding. It’s our first trip away from Lincoln and I’m a little nervous. We’ve done one night away in a hotel down the street from him and that was great but being an hour or so away for 3 nights is a lot different. BUT I am very excited! The last time we were here was for our baby moon so it’ll be fun to be back postpartum. The wedding has festivities Thurs-Sun including the best food in SB and wine tasting. My favorite activity 😜. We’re staying at the Harbor View Inn right on the water and the wedding is in the famous Hotel Californian. I can’t wait to hang with friends, go to the beach and eat endless amount of McConnell’s ice cream.
Orlando: Disney World and Universal Studios
Happy 10 years together to me and my hubby. Yes, we are “disney adults” with no shame. My Brandon’s work is having a conference in Orlando so I decided to fly out and meet him at the end and have a few days at the parks. We did this trip on the way to our honeymoon 3 years ago and I can’t wait to do it again. We’re staying at All Star Sports on the WDW property which is 100% the way to go. We’re excited to see what’s changed (hello new Ratatouille stuff in epcot, Star Wars in Hollywood studios, and Hagrid’s ride in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter) and relive our favorite things. Native Californians, we’ve done Disneyland a lot but it’s always a nice treat to go to one of the other Disney parks. I’ve got the rest of them on my bucket list!
P.S. We really want to take Lincoln to Disney but we want to wait until he can fully “get” the magic. We’re thinking around his 2nd birthday so maybe 2023! 🥰
A dream years in the making. I wanted to do a Hawaii trip for my 30th birthday and then Covid happened. Then we were going to go in 2021 and then I got pregnant. Now all three of us (Lincoln’s getting in on this action) are going with my in laws! I have only been once when I was very little and don’t remember a thing so it’ll all be new. We’re staying at the Royal Lahaina Resort on the west side of Maui and plan on renting a car to get around the Island. I am excited to swim with some wildlife, eat all the fresh fruit I can get my hands on, and relax by the beach (hopefully with a pina colada in hand)! Plans are still evolving here but once we get things set I’ll update y’all.
Cape Cod
I’ve been going to Cape Cod once a year for as long as I can remember. My Grandma lives in Brewster and the cape is one of my favorite places in the world. It holds an extra special place in my heart and this summer I get to share this special place with my son. We’ll be headed out there with my whole family for a wedding but don’t worry, there will be plenty of time for beaching it. We’re staying at an air bnb right on the water and plan to use that to its fullest.
