It’s PRIME DAY!!! While I don’t love how much I use Amazon, sometimes it is just a necessary evil. Additionally, it’s really easy to get lost in the sea of product out there. There is SO MUCH STUFF! Don’t worry, I’ve done the hard work for you. I’ve sorted out all the products I think you should check out AAAAAND I use 90% of these in my own home and I highly recommend them.
Before we dive into the products, here are my rules for Prime Day:
- Don’t get sucked in by the idea of a deal! If you didn’t need the item before you don’t need to spend the money just because it’s on sale. Think about it this way. If you were going to spend $0 on an item, and you see something originally priced at $100 for 50% off and you buy it for $50, that’s still $50 more than you were going to spend.
- Check the return policy. Most of the time, Amazon items can be returned within 30 days of purchase. So if you do get a little click happy, just make sure you can return them.
- Measure twice buy once. Go measure your spaces now! When you’re looking for a storage container know your dimensions before buying! There’s nothing worse than getting all excited about organizing a drawer only to find that it doesn’t fit… not that I would know that 🤦🏼♀️
- Check the store the tiem comes from. Ideally it’s from the brand of the item. If not, double check the ratings to avoid any cheaply made knockoffs.
- DO NOT BUY MAKE-UP. Honestly, you should never buy make-up or skin items on Amazon. They are known for having a high rate of knock offs. There are many people that have reported skin problems after using make-up purchased on Amazon. If you want to be disgusted, you can look up some of the ingredients that have been found…🤢
- Try and find the small shops! There are a lot of smaller shops that sell on Amazon that participate in Prime Day and they need your love.
Kitchen
Drawer Spice Rack– I dreamed of a spice drawer and it finally happened! This one is great because it expands to the exact size you need it.
Glass Spice Jars with Labels– This is a viral organization hack that I got on board with! And boy do I love it and boy does it make a difference. What I love about this specific one is that it comes with labels 2 ways! You can put the label on the top of the container or side depending on where you store it.
Expandable Utensil Drawer Organizer– Same as the spice rack! I love the expandable and the acrylic. It’s way easy to clean and always looks great.
Nespresso Pod Holder– This is such a great way to store your Nespresso pods in a decorative way.
Roll Up Sink Drying Rack– I talked about this in my newsletter last week. It is incredible and saves so much space!
Scrub Daddy Sink Holder– keep those Scrub Daddies off the countertop!
Towel Push Hooks– These are great to put on the inside of door to the under-the-sink cabinet. I love that I can stick a rag there and it is out of the way and easy to grab. I often will use the same rag a few times before washing so it’s nice that this allows it to dry out a bit.
Spray Bottle Hooks– Same thing. Put this inside a cabinet door for an easy grab. I use this under my sink for all purpose cleaner.
Viral Plastic Storage Bag Holder– To be honest… I think that these are realllllly pretty but don’t use it in my home. I the boxes that the containers come in to work just fine. I haven’t made the jump to spend this money yet.
Viral Plastic/ Foil Roll Holder– Now this one is a bit more practical from my research. It’s supposed to be much easier to cut/ rip plastic and foil. Once again, it’s not something that I have purchased for my own home yet.
Clear Bin with Dividers– This can be used anywhere. Pantry, cabinets, fridge. It is so versatile!
Pantry Woven Baskets– Perfect for potatoes and onions in a pantry!
OXO Baking Container Set– Decanting baking items it great. You can clearly see how much of a product is left and it’s one of the few containers that will consistently have the same item in it forever. Bonus these have scoops that attach to the top of the lids. #genious
OXO Pantry Container Set– More decanting! Yay!
Pantry Metal Baskets– Not into the clear/ plastic storage bins? Go with the metal. And bonus there is a place to add a label already!
Tea Box– I have used this for over a decade. Literally. I absolutely looooove it. Tea boxes once opened are a freaking mess. They can fall apart just by looking at them!
Closet
Velvet Hangers– This is the very first swap I suggest making to your closet if you’re trying to get organized. They look amazing and are super thin giving you extra space. AND they come in so many colors! I personally have the black ones but I love the rose gold/ blush ones too!
Velvet Hanger Clips– You can use these with the hangers above! Just clip them on and now you have a pants hanger. Easy peasy.
Hat Wall Hook– If you have the space, use these for hat storage. It’s so nice to be able to see everything and keeps your hats in perfect shape.
Cloth Drawer Organizers– These are great for smaller drawers! I use these in my son’s room and it’s the best. His clothes stay very organzied and I always know where things are!
Honeycomb Drawer Organizers– Great for socks and underwear!
Rope Pull Storage Cubes– Do you have a shelf over your closet bar? Then you need these! They are the perfect size. I don’t add the rope on the backside and use the pull to get it down. They are great for shorties like me!
Plastic Pull Storage Cubes– Don’t like the rope pull? Go for these.
Cloth Clothing Storage Bags– Perfect under bed storage with clear front for viewing what’s in them. I use these under the bed in my guest room for spare sheets, blankets and my maternity clothes.
6 Hook Purse Hanger– The container store sells super expensive versions of this. Why pay more?
Stackable Shoe Storage Rack– My husband used this in his closet in our old home. It’s the perfect space saver. We put his flip flops on the side pouches and he was able to see all his shoes.
Drawer Divider Organizers– If you file fold your clothes (which btw you should) you NEED these to keep your drawers neat and tidy.
Bathroom
Waterproof Labels– If you don’t have a Cricut, you need these. So far, I an attest that these labels are waterproof and stick onto any container. So great if you decant your soaps or shampoos!
Pill Box– When I was breastfeeding my lactation consultant had me on all sorts of supplements that I took 3 times a day. I bought this to keep things organized and so I knew if I already taken my pills.
Large Glass Jar– I have this next to my bathtub filled with Epsom salts. Looks great, smells great.
Epsom Salt Scoop– Scoops for the jar above.
Flush Shower Caddy– When we moved we moved to a smaller square shaped shower and needed a way to store our toiletries for the shower. I found this one and so far it works great!
Make-up Brush Caddy– Looks so nice on the counter for your make-up brushes.
Make-up Pallet Organizer– If you’re a make-up person (I am not) but if you are these help you get your pallets out of piles and upright so you can see what they all are.
General
Door Hanging Laundry Hamper– This has been a game changer! I bought a 2 pack and put one on the backside of the pantry door for kitchen towels and one on the backside of the kid’s bathroom for pre-bath laundry.
Plastic Mesh Zipper Pouches– There are just about 1 million uses for these bags. We decant games into them, use them for storage of various things, organizing backpacks, travel… the list goes on. Just do yourself a favor and have these on hand.
Card Deck Holders– Used for exactly as stated! We take our games out of the boxes that they come in and into the Plastic Mesh bag above. If there’s cards we’ll put them in these and into the bags.
Travel Jewelry Organizer– Another good travel item! Keeps your jewelry completely tangle free and organized in your suitcase.
Travel Cord Organizer– Same thing as jewelry but for cords!
Clear Plastic Label Clips– Use a marker, label maker, stickers or a Cricut to cut out letters for these labels. You can attach them to just about any bin or basket for labeling. And they are WAY cheaper than the ones at The Container Store.
White Basket Label Clips– Same as above just a bit fancier.
Space Saver Bags– The best for storing holiday items, off season clothing, or clothing that you might use later. I currently have my holiday pillows, maternity clothes, and clothes that my son has outgrown in these puppies in the garage.
Christmas Tree Bag– Let me just say… She’s a beast! We use this for our 7 foot artificial tree and I think we could fit 3 more in there lol. But it is great for storing our tree. Keeps it all together and easy to maneuver.
Label Maker– My trusty label maker. Oh what would I do without her.
Colored Label Tape– And of course the tape to go with it.
Utility Cart– My favorite cart. I love it so much because it has a handle so I can pull it anywhere I need it.
File Boxes– Perfect for memories boxes (blog coming soon on those!). I cut out each one of my family member’s names using my Cricut and put it on the front. The folders are separated by age/ grade. Perfect for storing the papers of one’s life. More boring but just as practical, I have one for our taxes too.
Cord Cover/ Hider– If you have a desk you need this! Run it along the back edge and down one back leg. Then you are able to tuck your cords into the cover easily and they are hidden. Bonus it’s really easy to open and take out a cord if you need one for travel or elsewhere you can grab it without trouble.
Command Cord Bundlers– I LOOOOOOVE these and use them everywhere. I coil up my cords on my tower fans when putting them away for the winter and on my small appliances in the kitchen.
Collapsible Fabric Laundry Basket– These are the best. I bought them and my mom and sister saw them and bought purchased them as soon as they saw it. Once again, another versatile item. I keep one in my car at all times and one in the closet.
Happy shopping my friends! What are you most excited to shop for on Prime Day???
